Is there any man on this planet that would not want to look & feel like Hercules, Achilles, or any demi-god for that matter? There is a reason why I went all the way back to ancient Greece to conjure up the thoughts of brawn & bravery. The men of that time likely had Testosterone levels that dwarf ours today. Even the philosophizers like Aristotle & Plato likely enjoyed higher levels of male hormones coursing through their bloodstream than us poor folks nowadays. I would surmise that men of ancient Greece, ancient Rome, & long before spent more time outdoors, moving their bodies, soaking in the rays, & engaging in more sexual escapades. All of which are known to stimulate the production of androgens, otherwise known as male steroid hormones.
Signs of Low T

• Fatigue • Decreased Body Hair

Earthing & PEMF
Although we currently view the human body in its physical state, we must remember that matter is the representation of energy. Don’t worry, I will not delve into quantum field theory or quantum mechanics here, mostly because it is above my pay grade, but understand that consciousness and energy are the foundation of our existence. The Earth, itself, can also be viewed as a living organism that produces resonant frequencies. These frequencies, otherwise known as Schumann Resonance and geomagnetism are vitally important to proper bodily functions, including hormone production. If you want better blood flow, increased libido, and better erections, then make sure you get yourself grounded while limiting your nonnative-EMF exposure.
Sunshine
Have you heard about this thing called Vitamin D yet? Yep, it is important for your testosterone as well. However, the sun provides much more than just vitamin D. My message to patients is to start developing a better relationship with the sun because it legitimately will assist in healing any injury or disease process. I then provide them with a 2- month sunlight program to kickstart their intimate relationship so that they do not get too clingy to their new love & corrupt a wonderful thing with scorched skin. Just like Zack de la Rocha & Rage once said, “This is for the people of the Sun.” They used it in a different context, but it does get the point across here.
Xenoestrogens
This is a huge problem. We now live in a toxic world. Even though we do not realize it during our everyday lives, the environment around us has become a hidden cesspool. Many of the chemicals that we are exposed to act like estrogen in the body which disturbs the male vigor. For example, BPA & its alternatives (yes, there are many of them including BPS, so think about that when your water bottle erroneously states “BPA-free,”) can contribute to feminization, low libido, & infertility in men. We are also inundated with heavy metals, phthalates, parabens, glyphosate, dioxins, POPs, VOCs, & many more. This is not to scare you, but we need to understand how important healthy behaviors & an efficient detoxification system are to us these days.
Boost Your Testosterone Naturally
It is always a delicate situation when trying to alter endogenous hormone levels, so I suggest that you get some labs run & have a qualified clinician discuss the results with you. Here are a few great natural options, but just know that the root cause of the low testosterone still has not been addressed.
• Tribulus
• Fenugreek
• Horny Goat Weed
• DIM
• Mucuna Pruriens
• Velvet Deer Antler
• Maca Root
• DHEA
Manage Your Stress
Cortisol will rob you of your testosterone precursors. Pregnenolone can either be shunted to cortisol production or testosterone production so if you are enduring unrelenting stressors and not mitigating them properly through stress-relief strategies, then your testosterone will plummet. Make sure you are incorporating stress reduction techniques into your daily routine & making sure that your sleep is optimized. Sleep is when our body heals and rebuilds.
